Diamond Platnumz and Harmonize both live in multimillion shillings mansions in the leafy Dar es Salaam suburb of Mbezi beach.
The two singers were best friends until 2019 when they became enemies after Harmonize ditched Diamond's Wasafi record label.
Harmonize officially left in August 2019 after raising concerns about a 15-year contract he signed with Diamond’s record label.
The singer decided to terminate the contract after just four years, complaining that he was not getting value for his output.
The 'Kwangwaru' hitmaker was forced to pay Wasafi Ksh24 million for terminating his contract prematurely before its expiry.
Harmonize was reportedly forced to sell three houses and a piece of land to raise the Ksh24 million that Wasafi demanded for leaving the label before his contract expired.
He was forced to part with the full amount so that Diamond's label could allow him full rights ownership to the songs he did under WCB (all of his songs at the time were recorded and produced by Wasafi).
Harmonize made more money after leaving Wasafi and even built a huge mansion in Mbezi beach. The singer's palatial mansion is christened ‘Konde Village’.
Diamond Platnumz's mansion
Diamond moved into a Tsh2 billion/Ksh99 million mega-mansion in Mbezi beach in 2018. He previously lived in Madale in a mansion he built from scratch.
The Mbezi beach mansion had been put up for sale a few months before Diamond moved in. The owner identified as OG Lazaro was seeking Ksh99 million for the house.
Diamond reportedly bought the house in 2018 and moved in. The mansion features five bedrooms which are all ensuite, a swimming pool, and a big car park among other amenities.
