Comedian-cum-activist Eric Omondi has announced plans for an uninterrupted 3-day live stream over the weekend.

Speaking to local YouTuber, Omondi says he will host the live session on Instagram in his efforts to raise at least Ksh50 million to support struggling Kenyans.

He says the live stream will run from Friday, August 25, 2023, at 8:00 pm to Monday, August 28, 2023, at 8:00 pm.

"I will livestream nonstop from Friday to Monday to raise over Ksh50 million to help needy Kenyans," Omondi claimed.

During these days, Omondi says he will not sleep, and will only be off-camera when he goes to the bathroom.

Eric Omondi has been at the forefront of activism against rising costs of living which has landed him on the wrong side of the law.

The 41-year-old has been arrested on diverse dates in March and April and charged with creating a disturbance.

In April, the comedian was arrested while carting thousands of Curriculum Vitae (CV) to the State House. Prior to that, he was apprehended while distributing maize flour at City Stadium along Jogoo Road.

He would later be released on a cash bail of Ksh5,000 after denying all the charges levelled against him by the office of the Director of Public Prosecution.
