Comedian Eric Omondi has revealed that he responded to a distress call from his ex-girlfriend Chantal Grazioli because he witnessed his dad who was a police officer beat his mom to a pulp.
Speaking during an interview with YouTuber Mungai Eve, Eric said that he vowed he would never allow any man to batter a woman on his watch after what happened to his mother.
"Mimi nkigrow up (na hii ni story sijawai tell) my own mom nkiwa primary alishawai pigwa na babangu. Nlitoka shule nkapata mathee amebleed ako hosi ako na black eye. Do you know how helpless I was as a young boy? Hio kitu imenitraumatize mbaka leo. I was in class six. Nlikua nafanyia babangu hivi (push around) ananisukuma.

The comedian added that he was powerless when his mom was battered, noting that he had the power to do something when Chantal was assaulted.
"Do you know it's the worst position for a child to be? Na nkajiambia I will revenge on my mom's behalf. I never got to do that. I lost my mom. Eric Omondi says Chantal assaulted multiple times
The comedian further revealed that his ex-girlfriend persevered through months of abuse. He said the latest incident was not the first time that her boyfriend Nicola Traldi had beaten her.
"This guy is a narcisist. Na kitu pia imeniboo hii ni kitu imekua ikiendelea for so long (what pains me is that the physical assault is something that has been happening for a long time)," Eric Omondi lamented.
The comedian revealed that Chantal suffered a fractured limb, he had earlier posted X-Ray images to prove his claim.
The comedian advised Nicola Traldi to present himself to authorities after reporting the matter to Thindigwa Police Station.
He urged women in abusive relationships to walk away immediately after they are assaulted for the first time. He noted that Chantal and he mutually broke up and remain friends to date.
The comedian got into a relationship with Chantal in early 2015 after breaking up with his baby mama Jacque Maribe. He proposed to the Kenyan/Italian beauty on Valentine's Day February 14, 2016.
However, In May 2019, Eric and Chantal ended their four-year affair with lengthy Instagram posts. They insisted that they amicably decided to end their relationship, insisting that they remained good friends.
Chantal introduced her alleged abuser Nicola Traldi as her boyfriend to the public for the first time in January 2021. This was after she uploaded a photo of them together while on the beach, and accompanied it with a love emoji.
