Internet sensation and comic Elsa Majimbo is scaling new heights in Hollywood and recently signed a fresh deal with IMG and WME models.
This will see Majimbo's portfolio broaden as IMG Models will enable her work through global editorial coverage of fashion, beauty and lifestyle endorsements.
On the other hand, WME said it will amplify her voice as she will now be aired on their Instagram page boasting over 2.5 million followers, in non-scripted, scripted TV, film, speaking engagements and books.
“Joining IMG Models and WME makes sense because it’s only natural for icons to work together,” Majimbo said of her Hollywood agency signings in a statement.
Other famous people who have worked with WME and IMG include Tennis star Naomi Osaka.
This comes as the 15-time chess champion is set to debut her short documentary Elsa, directed by Julia Jansch, at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Elsa has been steadily rising from her humorous IG videos about pandemic life to a global star. Her recent awards include an E! People’s Choice Award, a Harvard Vanguard Trophy, a YouTube Streamy, a Forbes Entertainer Award and the GQ Entertainer of the Year Award.
Besides her fashion magazine covers, Majimbo also collaborated with Maison Valentino to create a book, The Alphabet for Kids & Adults.
