Popular blogger Edgar Obare has on Wednesday November 3, 2021 made an appeal to his followers and Kenyans at large to help him get back his deactivated account.

Obare reached out to Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, outlining how his account was pulled down through a well-orchestrated plan by unnamed individuals that were adversely mentioned in one of his exposés.

"My account was deactivated in August and I have had trouble reaching Instagram support to help resolve the issue. It was taken down right after I ran a story on money laundering in my country and I suspect alot of people were paid to report my account," his message read in part.

Edgar, famed for his audacious exposés, had his Instagram account deactivated after he aired a story exposing the underhand deals of the wash wash cartel.

Obare had run a litany of Instagram stories, that exposed a group of flamboyant businessmen, believed to be eking their living from fraudulent deals and money laundering schemes.

His exposé roped in notable names of businessmen, politicians and celebrities
