Singer Diamond Platnumz poured his heart out to his mum Mama Dangote on an Instagram post while celebrating her 55th birthday.
In the post, Diamond reflected on a promise he made his mum back when they had nothing.
Opening up about this, the singer talked about a year he watched his mother struggle working as a hairdresser.

According to the singer, his mother back then was forced to stand for long hours, while he on the other hand had to sit still and wait for her shift to end.
"Nakumbuka Mwaka Mmoja wakati unafanya kazi ya Saloon kariakoo," Diamond Platnumz wrote.
Adding:
"Tukiwa tunarudi usiku majira kama ya saa sita hivi kwenye Daladala nikakwambia āUsijali mama Kuna siku nitatoboa kwenye mziki na nitakufungulia na wewe Saloon yako."
Promise
Diamond went on to say that although young, he could tell his mother was more worried about him than he was towards her.
"Vyote naweza visahau lakini maneno haya siwezi yasahau, kwasababu nilikuambia kwa uchungu nilipokuona unanitazama kwa huruma na Uchungu, kwa jinsi nilivyokua nahangaika na maumivu ya kiti chamoto kwenye Daladala ya Hiaceā¦" Diamond wrote.
For this reason, the singer made it known his mother is the reason he has continued to work extra hard on his projects over the years.
"Nakupenda na Nakuheshimu sana, na siku zote ujue kwamba wewe ndio sababu ya mimi Kupambana usiku na mchana ili kuhakikisha unapata furaha ambayo uliikosa kwa muda mrefu...Happy Birthday Mom."
Diamond Platnumz's message to his mother comes a few days after hinting about possible baby number five.
