Tanzanian star Naseeb Abdul Juma, popularly known by his stage name as Diamond Platnumz, is also known for chasing the finer things in life.
The flashy artiste has reportedly acquired a new helicopter after years of teasing and keeping his followers waiting.
He revealed this on his Instagram and captioned it to read; "God is good, I bought myself a helicopter."
This comes days after his Kenyan performance during Azimio la Umoja's final campaign rally at Kasarani stadium on Saturday, August 6 which spurred controversy on social media.
Most netizens protested him being picked over local musicians for the historic moment.
In his reaction, singer Juliani says that it is unfair that an international artiste was picked for the event instead of local talent. He says Kenyan artistes would have served the purpose as well.
"Diamond Platinumz in Kasarani was distateful. Any Kenyan talent would've sufficed," Juliani wrote on his Instagram page.
Diamond Platinumz defends his flashy lifestyle
Diamond Platinumz had in a previous interview disclosed that he buys expensive things to prove his worth.
"Especially for someone like me coming from the streets, sometimes I feel like buying a million-dollar car. What for? I have to do it because they will not value you if you don't. Someone else will look like the real deal."
In July last year, Diamond also acquired a brand-new Cadillac Escalade 2020 model, zero kilometres, whose market value is estimated at Ksh30 million.
The purchase came barely a month after he bought a similar car, making history as the first East African singer to own it.
His brand-new car was delivered right to the doorstep of his mansion by a transit lorry before it was driven to his parking as his cameramen recorded the whole event.
