Diamond Platnumz's managers and top Wasafi bosses Sallam SK 'Mendez' and Mkubwa Fella badly clashed with Kajala's ex-husband popular music producer P-Funk Majani.

Majani rubbed Mendez and Fella the wrong way after he criticized Wasafi, saying that Diamond's label was exploiting and fleecing artistes especially when they are leaving the label.

Majani's comments came after it emerged that Rayvanny was forced to raise the Ksh50 million to buy out the remainder of the contract before he could be allowed to leave Wasafi.

Speaking during an interview with Bongo 5, the Bongo Records producer called out Wasafi for giving musicians raw deals by taking a huge chunk of revenue.

"Kitu kimoja nachopenda uwe fair usifanye biashara kuangamiza wenzio. Wale wanamdidimiza msanii yule wanachukua asilimia kubwa alafu yeye anabaki na ndogo. Akienda kuimba anatumbuiza bado anakatwa hela kubwa aiiuza kwenye album anakatwa hela kubwa.

(We should be fair and not do business to destroy others. They [Wasafi] are exploiting artistes by taking a big percentage of the revenue earned leaving musicians with very little. When an artiste goes to sing and entertain people they are deducted a lot of money and even if they release an album they still take the biggest chunk)," Majani said.

Diamond's manager Mkubwa Fella was quick to respond to Majani. He said Kajala's baby daddy is a veteran music producer who shouldn't have made such remarks.

Mkubwa Fella suggested that Majani could have been under the influence of alcohol and other substances when he criticised Wasafi for 'exploiting' musicians.

"Angesema mtu mwendazimu ningeona mwendazimu anahaki ya kuzungumza. Lakini akizungumza Majani naona kama anakosea. Kwa sababu Majani anajua industry mzima. Sijui alipokua anazungumza inawezekana kuna vitu alivyotumia kabla, kuna ulevi alitumia kabla.

(If it was a mad man talking I would have understood but the way Majani talked he was totally wrong. Majani knows the industry too well. I don't know maybe when he was talking he could have been under the influence of alcohol or other substances)," Mkubwa Fella said.

Mendez savagely slams Majani

Majani took to social media to hit back at Mkubwa Fella after he suggested that he was drunk when he criticized Wasafi.

@mwanafa wewe ulilipwa deni lako? Jinga kubwa

(Honourable motormouth! Harmonize left, Rayvanny left, Mbosso has been denied publishing rights as a songwriter. S2Kizzy and Lizer (Wasafi producers) are not recognized as music composers by any publishing system for all the work they have done. Where is their 50 per cent? S2Kizzy missed publishing advance of $75,000 from Sony Music because you forged publishing registration for the songs he composed. 15 years have passed and you have not even cleared your debt at Bongo Records. You are the biggest conman. Mwana FA did he pay your debt? Idiot)," Majani wrote.

Responding to Majani's post, Diamond's other manager Sallam SK Mendez questioned the veteran producer if he was defending Harmonize because he is now taking care of his baby mama Kajala and daughter Paula.

"@majani187 Oi bro, umefanya nini kwenye industry zaidi ya kuwapiga wasanii na kuwachukulia haki zao, sasa hivi unatetea mtu anaekulelea mzazi mwenzio na mwanao au? Get your facts right!!

(Majani what have you done in the industry apart from fighting artistes and denying them their rights? Now you are defending somebody who is taking care of your wife and daughter or is it not? Get your facts rights)," Mendez wrote.
