The late Kikuyu singer John De'Mathew's wife Carolyne Waithera is seemingly open to remarrying.

Carol was interacting with her fans in a live recording on Facebook when she revealed that she now wants another man to pay her dowry.

A curious fan asked about the story behind the song dubbed 'Nikio ngukuraciria'(..this is why I'm paying your dowry) which was recorded during her traditional wedding to which she laughed before responding by saying;

"That dowry is over, I now want someone else to pay my dowry."

This comes three years after the tragic death of her husband who lost his life in a car crash along Thika road.

After his burial, it has since emerged that Carolyne and De Mathew’s first wife Sarafina fell apart and later Carol claimed she had been thrown out of their matrimonial home.

"I wish you knew how your family treated me as well after your demise. They even threw me out of our house, where I gave birth to your son. To my genuine friends, fans and DeMathew's friends and fans, I am doing fine and better," she stated.

Carol has been open about her hardships since the Benga musician died.

She says, most of their friends turned their backs against her. This, she revealed during De'Mathew's third anniversary.

"I swear Njogu was your friend. He has been checking up on me and your little Mathew, Simba," she wrote.
