American rapper Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar alias Cardi B has wowed Kenyans online after she shared a video of former President Mwai Kibaki's presser, where he asserted to the media and Kenyans at large that he was only married to the late former First Lady, Lucy Kibaki.

In the presser, solely organized for the confirmation, the former Head of State sought to set the record straight after media houses linked him to former Othaya MP Mary Wambui.

“I want to state something that I have wanted you to hold dearly and permanently in your heart. You know, I know and everybody else knows that I'm married and I have only one wife and everyone knows it. I want to make it very clear that I have only one dear wife, Lucy, who is here. And I do not have any other, ask any question I will reply,” Kibaki said.

Beside Kibaki was a visibly furious Lucy Kibaki who went ahead to order the journalists present to ask any more questions or let the matter rest forthwith.

“Ask now or never,” the late First Lady said authoritatively.

Kenyan followers of the award-winning rapper attempted to explain to her what prompted the presser by the then first couple, with some relating the post to the tribulations in her marriage with fellow American rapper Offset.

Here are some of the reactions sampled by K24 Digital;

Nahashon Kimemia; Cardi B got jokes. That was the former President of Kenya, Mwai Kibaki, confirming to the nation that he has 1 wife. He called a press conference to address this subject matter. Through this meme, Cardi is telling us that Offset has one boo only. Cardi, I'm I wrong?

Alinur Mohammed; This is Kenya’s second First Lady, the late Mama Lucy Kibaki as she was respectfully called, a loving and no-nonsense lady dedicated to keeping family life private. This happened in January 2003, when former President Mwai Kibaki called a press conference from State House.

Shaffie Weru; Good old days, the economy was top only drama was domestic at the big house
