Kenyan comedian Mulamwah is basking in newfound happiness and absolute glow-up, and according to fellow content creators Eddie Butita and YY Comedian, the credit goes to his girlfriend, Ruth K.

In a recent video shared by Mulamwah, the duo can be heard playfully praising heavily pregnant Ruth K for bringing joy into Mulamwah's life.

"Ulipea boy wetu nini, ulimpea boy wetu nini?" the two comedians are heard saying.

"Siku izi anaglow?" Ruth inquired.

"Bana he is happy, ulimpea nini," they chorused.

"Saa sote ni wewe anaongelea, ikifika 5.00 p.m anasema anataka kurudi kwa nyumba, kuna vitu anafanya tunashindwa ulimpea nini," YY added.

However, after Ruth left the scene, Butita and YY broke character, revealing that the entire exchange was a playful ploy to make Mulamwah look good.

They disclosed their plan to do the same for Butita if given the chance to speak to his girlfriend.

"So tukienda kwako, tutafanya hivyo hivyo," YY suggested.

"Na mwongeze sifa, mchachishe," Butita added, revealing the familiar boy code among friends.

Women do it too

Their friend actress Jackie Vike chimed in on the comment section to slam the all-familiar banter noting that she has fallen victim to such in the past.

She explained that men often engage in this kind of banter as part of the "boy code" to playfully compliment each other's girlfriends and the compliments are passed down from girl to girl.

She noted that times have passed and women are playing this kind of game too.

"Sitawahi sahau vile mabeste za Chali yangu flani walikua wananiita Shemeji na kunisifu vile nafanya ndugu yao amenona kumbe madem kama watatu wake walikua wanaambia same thing. Times have changed, sahii ni mimi na mabeste zangu tunachocha wanaume,"recalled.

Mulamwah, Ruth K expecting child

The couple recently announced that they are expecting their first child together a month after their traditional wedding ceremony.

Ruth took to her Instagram page to post a series of baby bump photos accompanied by a heartfelt message addressed to their unborn child.

"First came love, love that created a new life, a blessing that fills us with joy and delight. Creating life is the best feeling🤗❤️ you are already loved. Can't wait to meet you," she expressed.
