Singer Bahati is dismissing clout chasing claims in spite of the speculations that have surrounded the artiste since gifting lover Diana Marua two expensive Valentine's gifts.

'Doubters' are now coming off on the losing end of one of the most heated debates online with Bahati claiming it's all 'God's blessings'

Taking to Instagram, Bahati while terming himself as 'a poor boy from the slums' rather sought to lean on the spiritual side and left a short prayer for his fans to receive equal blessings if they believe.

"To those who are doubting that God can bless a poor boy from the slums, let me confirm this; Yes "I am a boy from Mathare slums" and to those that believe God can raise a man from poverty to glory "May God do it for you too in Jesus name" The God who raised me is faithful to bless anyone," he wrote.

The disclaimer comes at a time when Bahati just gifted Diana a fully furnished mansion estimated to be worth Ksh27 million and a brand new Land Cruiser Prado TX worth Ksh9 million which Bahati said was “Just a small Valentine's gift to my wife.”

However, the debate goes back to 2018 when the extravagant gifting culture among the 'power couple' started.

In 2018, during his 25th birthday, Diana 'surprised’ him with a Ksh15 million Range Rover, something she would later admit was a hoax.

During the lover's wedding anniversary in October 2020, Diana was gifted a brand new GL class Mercedes-Benz, which retails at around Ksh9 million.

“Receive this Mercedes W205 Specifically for dropping the kids to school when they don’t feel like using the school bus; I love you,” Bahati said.

It wasn't long until Diana gifted Bahati another brand new Mercedes-Benz Maybach valued at around Ksh20 million during 2021 Valentine's day which she claimed to be real.

She claimed she had saved (and prayed) for two years to graduate from surprising her man with a hired car to actually buying one for him.
