Kenyan singer Avril Nyambura has set the record clear on her relationship with Bongo star, Diamond Platnumz.
This follows the singer’s close relationship with the Wasafi boss over the years.
Good friends
In an interview with a budding YouTuber, Madubi, Avril stated that Diamond is her good friend since way back when they started doing music.

“I have never had an opportunity to date Diamond Platnumz, but he is a very good friend of mine. He has been my friend for very long time but we don’t talk that often
“But when he calls me or I call him for help on a particular matter, we have that connectivity,” Avril said.

Avril also discussed the fame that came after appearing as a vixen on Diamond’s music video dubbed, Kesho.
She said after appearing on the video, most people though she was dating the billionaire musician.
Everyone thought Diamond and I dated and others thought I was now a video vixen, but it was all music, and even up to date, we chat,” she said.

In May, Avril issued a statement after his song dubbed Danger featuring Brandy Maina garnered less than 1000 views on YouTube 24 hours after its publication.
In an interview with Mungai Eve, Avril said that Kenyans would appreciate her art more when she dies and not when she is alive.
"Don't worry, when I die, the songs I've done over time will trend at least for a while, maybe even get love. Never worry. Thanks for the post, the mockery and the love
"If God intended that my life ends today, because it is not by our choice or might. If God feels your purpose on earth is done then you carry on to the next chapter. That is when you notice people recognizing your work,” she said.
