Gospel musician Alex Apoko alias Ringtone on Wednesday morning left the country for South Africa to seek further treatment after he was allegedly attacked by blogger Robert Alai.

Speaking to K24 Digital, the musician said he was still not feeling well and was seeking advanced medical attention.

“I ask Kenyans to continue praying for me. I'm headed to South Africa for further treatment,” Ringtone said.

Two weeks ago, the Pamela hitmaker was engaged in a brawl with Alai within the city just moments after their cars were involved in an accident.

In a video that made rounds on social media, Alai is seen carrying a club that he allegedly used to injure the musician.

The altercation between the duo led to a huge traffic snarl-up and even attracted a huge crowd.

Later, Alai challenged Ringtone to report the matter to the police so that they could meet in court.

The altercation led to the arrest of Alai who is also eyeing a political seat in the 2022 general elections.

The matter which was to be mentioned in a Kibera law court last week failed to start after the office of the Director of Public Prosecution (ODPP) recalled the file.

In an early interview with K24 Digital, Ringtone said that Alai followed him from Oloitoktok road for about 500 meters before he blocked his car along Dennis Print road.

After the altercation, Ringtone was left with a bloody face and a broken arm.
