Esther Akoth, popularly known as Akothee, has called on the government to set stringent measures on the Nairobi expressway.

Taking to her social media, the 'Shengerera mama' hitmaker highlighted different faults that (according to her) are the major causes of frequent accidents witnessed on the latest mega project.

Among the measures she highlighted was introducing alcoblow at the beginning of the expressway; this, according to her, will eliminate carelessness.

"I am extremely worried. I am a frequent user of Express highway and what I ask for is proper regulation of those fit to drive on the express highway,

"If they could also have alcoblow, it will eliminate the carelessness at the beginning of the Express highway it could help a lot," she wrote.

Akothee says more labeling should be done

The mother of five also highlighted that more labeling should be done on the highway to curb confusion witnessed while joining the highway.

"I see too much guesswork and nothing is worrying as seeing your driver driving with guesswork. As a passenger, you become too paranoid," she added.

The artiste also opined that there should be huge bumps approaching the toll station to enforce the speed limit, which she says should be reduced to 80k/mp to avert accidents.

"You can't give Kenyans freedom to cruise, they can't handle it and most of our cars are not fit for the roads, especially the public transport. We are just managing," she stated.

Akothee lauds the gov't for the efficiency of the project

While giving her nuggets of wisdom, she also appreciated the government for the express highway's efficiency, effectiveness, and convenience.

"We appreciate the efficiency, effectiveness, and convenience the Express highway has brought ys we are happy to reach destinations in 10 minutes but not ready to end our lives in equally five minutes,"
