Kenyan artist Esther Akoth alias Akothee took to Instagram to give her stand on who should pay bills.

While catching a flight to Kisumu on Sunday, May 16, Akothee asked the regular question of why men are getting comfortable with women paying their bills.

According to the musician -cum business lady, for one to be considered a man in a woman's world, he must be in a position to provide solutions as a woman's role is to provide support.

The mother of five went further to caution young ladies to stop investing in men they don't see a future with. Spending one's money on men is 'hali ya kutumiana' disguised as dating.

" If you start paying for love in your 20s what will you do in your 40,50s?" she wrote.

" By the way, let me be sincere to you and my apologies if it has landed wrongly. For you to be considered A man in a woman's world, you must be in a position to provide solutions, Women are meant to support you. There is no problem if a woman is working and a man is jobless. But there is a big problem when a man is comfortable being broke and expecting his woman to fully support him πŸ’ͺ. Secondly, holidays feel romantic if it's a man paying for it, or what do you think? If not let's stay at home eat at home and use that money for our rent or so so so. Women are suffering in men's hands, 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣. Some come with big investment ideas, and my dear Women are taking loans for their men πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ. Haloo madam jamaa amekuguza wapi πŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ.
Ni hali ya kutumiana, don't waste your money investing in whom you don't see a future with. Madam keep your money for your future. You are too young to buy love. If you start paying for love in your 20s what will you do in your 40 50s? Some men in their 50s also still expect women to take care of them 🀷🀣🀣🀣. Grandpa, where is your savings πŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ, " Akothee wrote.

This comes days after she went online to brag about buying her daughters alcohol.

In a video, captioned 'drink my daughter' the musician asked her daughters to take alcohol in her presence as she caters for the bills.

" I am the only mother that gives her children alcohol . Drink my daughter better drink now when I am seeing you ,than drinking behind my back 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣. Drink I will pay the bill and ask for nothing, other than someone paying your bills and ruins your life forever just for a night out πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ, " she wrote.
