Dorea Chege, famously known as Maggy on the popular local TV drama series Maria, has turned her energy to building her dream home.
Chege had been active campaigning online as she sought to vie for the Nairobi Women Representative seat in the forthcoming August 9 2022, general election.
She announced her bid early this year vying as an independent candidate in a race dominated by political heavyweights like ODM's Esther Passaris and UDA's Millicent Omanga who are the leading contenders.
Chege however went slow on her campaigns after several opinion polls carried by credible research firms such as TIFA ranked her among 'others' whose candidatures were least popular with voters.
It's not clear whether she was even cleared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to vie for the Nairobi Women Rep position.

The popular actress is now focusing on building her dream home after going slow on politics. She regularly updates her fans on the construction progress of her multi-million shillings mansion.
Chege on occasion shares clips and photos of her house on her posts on social media.
