Thank Jesus (TJ) Mario Kasela popularly known as Trio Mio stormed the Kenyan music industry after his hit song 'Cheza kama wewe' became a sensation nationally.

Ever since he made his way into the Kenyan gengetone scene during the lockdown period, the artiste has bagged several titles, accolades and even made a name for himself.

His unique name was given as an appreciation by his mother

The star whose name is Thank Jesus (TJ) was given to him as a way of saying thank you, his stage name was however given to him by his elder brother Big Ting Ap.

Trio who is the last born in a family of four children has released over 13 songs but cheza kama wewe was his breakthrough song to stardom and his musical success.

Trio is of Italian descent; His father is of Italian and Congolese heritage while his mother is Kenyan.

His mother is his manager

The artiste's mother; Sofia Irma Sakwa manages his music career.

Trio recorded his first song while in class seven, the star discovered his love and passion for music when he was in class four but recorded his first song dubbed Bazeng in class seven.
