M-Pesa services to be unavailable for 5 hours

Safaricom has announced that M-Pesa services will be unavailable for five hours, beginning 11:59pm Thursday to 5am Friday.

The telecommunications company says in a July 2 press statement that the interruption will be experienced as the firm undertakes “enhancements and maintenance of our systems”.

“During the maintenance, all M-Pesa services, including airtime purchase shall be unavailable,” said Safricom in their press release.

“The timing of this maintenance activity has been planned to result in the least of inconveniences to our customers. We apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused.”
