The deadline for the Rosatom International video competition for youth in the digital space has been moved to February 15, giving more time for potential participants to share their content.
Rosatom (State Atomic Energy Corporation) is one of the global technological leaders. It is a multi-industry holding comprising assets in power engineering, machine engineering and construction, among others.
Youth between 18 and 35 years, who reside in African countries, are eligible to participate in the sixth annual competition.
The competition encourages youth in the participating countries to explore how nuclear technologies can be used to benefit their home nations or geographical region.
The competition which has been running since 2015 has already inspired hundreds of young people across the continent to explore the benefits of nuclear energy, some of whom have now begun their own careers in the nuclear industry.
Participants are encouraged to post their videos on Facebook or on Rosatom’s online application page.
The top three winning videos will be selected by an independent expert panel observing various criteria including original content and creativity, overall quality of the video and content, accuracy and relevance of technical content, as well as ability to clearly communicate the content to an audience.
The video narration should be in English or feature English subtitles.

Creators of the top three 75 seconds videos will be rewarded with an all-expenses paid trip to Russia, where they will get the opportunity to visit several of the country’s world-renowned tourist attractions as well as various nuclear institutions and advanced nuclear facilities.
